What a great find! This place was truly unique. We are staying nearby at an outdoor camping spot and wanted to grab takeout dinner before checking in. It’s very cold right now (early March), so we decided not to cook at the camp site. The elderly woman who runs the place was so kind. Her restaurant is decorated thoughtfully and beautifully. The lady offered us complementary tea while we waited for our takeout and I took some photos of the place. She I would highly recommend stopping by if you have time! The calm seating by the lake would be perfect in summer time.

I come here every time I go to visit Mt Fuji and bring a new guest each time. Honestly, it’s my favourite spot to go. It’s only been busy one time and that was in peak summer season. Usually it’s quiet and only has other local people visiting. The owners are lovely, they’re so sweet and remembered me from my first visit, even though it had been months. They have an amazing vibe inside and outside, so it’s definitely worth the trip. A good assortment of meals and snacks available too.

Incredibly lovely 2 ladies working here. It’s a nice pit stop if you are going around the lake on a bike and you can stop for a swim just a little more west

This was a lovely café, it had a wonderful view and the green bus line is very close to it which made it very convenient. The food was tasty. I had the curry bread, chips and the local dish and my partner had the vegetarian curry . I appreciated the different options that were available and the lady was very nice as was the man who sat us down. I would recommend this café if you are ever in the area.

This café was a nice find during my cycling trip around the lake. The atmosphere was awesome, thanks to the incredible views it offered. The two older women running the café were so kind, making my tea break even more pleasant. I also loved the café's beautiful decoration, filled with flowers and charming little details.

Quaint little cafe at Saiko Lake. Served one of the best home-made curry in a tranquil environment. Love the lake view too. A must visit whenever we are at Lake Kawaguchiko.
